Is it actually free?
Yes. The screener and your report are free. It asks for a work email so it can send you the report, and so we can follow up only if you want us to.
What does it assess against?
The current IIA Topical Requirements and their effective dates, mapped to your function's context. The requirement set is confirmed against the IIA before each update, so your report reflects what is actually in effect rather than what was in effect last year.
Does a Topical Requirement apply to my function if we do not audit that area?
That is the question the screener is built to answer, and the answer is rarely a clean no. A Topical Requirement sets what internal audit is expected to do when the subject is in scope, so the practical work is usually establishing and documenting whether it is in scope for you, not assuming it is not.
Do I need to prepare anything before I start?
